Dr. Tantilla received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences in 2004 with an emphasis in Manual Therapy. He also has a BA in Physical Education from California State University, Chico.
He has continued his professional development by attending numerous continuing education conferences and seminars. These include spinal manipulation, TMJ disorders, Master Clinician’s shoulder course, Rehabilitation of hip and knee replacements, Rotator Cuff Rehabilitation, Hesch evaluation and treatment of Lumbopelvic dysfunctions, FMT Rocktape among others. He is certified in dry needling and vestibular rehabilitation and concussion with the American Balance Institute. He has a special interest in treating both post-operative and non-operative orthopedic diagnoses.
Dr. Tantilla joined Core Physical Therapy in 2013 and became a partner in 2015. He also believes in giving back to the community; he has volunteered his time giving seminars throughout the Leland area on injury prevention.
Dr. Tiffane B. O'Neil, PT, DPT, received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences in 2008 with emphasis in Manual Therapy. She received her undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences / Neurobiology / Physiology, from the University of California, Davis in 2003.
Tiffane is passionate about physical therapy and strives to continue to learn and grow as a clinician. Tiffane achieved Manual Therapy Certification from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2010, and is also Athletes Performance Certified for the upper extremity and Titliest Performance Institute Certified (Golf analysis and treatment). She has a special interest in treating post-operative and non-operative orthopedic patients. She is trained in the application of Graston Technique instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM). She is also an avid runner and skilled in performing running analysis. She is a Certified Rocktape Provider of Fascail Movement Taping (FMT 1&2). Tiffane is trained to provide Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), and she is a Certified Dry Needling Practitioner. She recently obtained certification for Vestibular Rehabilitation and Concussion disorders from the American Institute of Balance.
Tiffane joined Core Physical Therapy in 2021 and became a partner at the beginning of 2023. In her free time Tiffane enjoys anything outdoors including hiking, paddle boarding, running, swimming, and spending time with her family.
A native of North Carolina, Dr. Ihnat, born and raised in Wilson, made her way to Wilmington in 2010 upon completing her Bachelor of Arts in Exercise and Sport Science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her diverse therapeutic background spans inpatient and outpatient care, where she thrives in assisting patients in achieving their rehabilitation objectives. Joining Core in 2011, she holds certifications with the American Institute of Balance for Vestibular Rehabilitation and Concussion Specialist, as well as RockTape Provider of Fascial Movement Taping (FMT). She is skilled in running analysis following a recent course with UNC’s running symposium. Outside the clinic, Dr. Ihnat enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and their Labrador, Kolbe.
